Shoes are tools – even though barefoot is the ideal, it is not always practical.
I don’t go barefoot when I bowl, I don’t go barefoot when I ride my bicycle (well, okay, sometimes… but usually I wear sandals), and for my job, I’m required to wear shoes.
The best analogy is to look at shoes the way we look at gloves.
If you don’t have to wear them – DON’T.
